Cafeteria Approach

From the batch 2011 - 2014, we have adopted the cafeteria approach which will encourage and allow students to choose elective subjects from across the streams.

The institute offers a three year, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme using the cafeteria approach. The programme is of 150 credits. The institute offers five streams to choose from : -

1) Corporate Management
2) Accounting & Finance
3) International Business
4) Environmental Management
5) Entrepreneurship

The student is required to complete 24 core courses, two summer internships and 18 elective courses. At the end of the third year, the student would have gained 92 credits from 24 core courses and 4 credits from Internships in an NGO and Industry/Corporate Sector in Semester II and Semester IV respectively and 54 credits from 18 Elective Courses.

A student would be awarded a BBA degree in a particular ‘Stream’ if he has gained at least 27 of the 54 Elective Course credits in one stream. (i.e. 9 of the 18 courses must be of one particular stream and 4 courses out of 9 of these would be compulsory from Sem III to Sem VI).

To be eligible for Dual Specialization a student would be required to have 9 Elective Courses each from the two different streams (which will make 18 Elective Courses to be chosen from two streams for dual specialization).
