Dr. Rajani Gupte
Dr. Rajani Gupte has done her Ph. D in Economics from the reputed
Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune. Her research work
relates to International Trade Policy. She has 30 years of work
experience in varied domains like teaching, research and Industry.
She has taught post graduate courses in Economics at reputed Institutes
like LoyolaCollege - Chennai, Symbiosis Institute of Business
Management, Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics and
PuneUniversity.
For three years she was involved with interdisciplinary research at the
Times Research Foundation. Her six years stint in industry provided a
perfect grounding for getting into management education. She has been
with Symbiosis Institute of International Business [SIIB] since its
inception in 1992.
Dr. Rajani Gupte has presented papers at the Conferences organized by
the Indo - American Chamber of Commerce, CII, Federation of Indian
Exports Organization (FIEO), Yashada, Maratha Chamber of Commerce
Industry and Agriculture. She was appointed as a member of the WTO Cell
set up by the Government of Maharashtra, Department of Horticulture. Her
consultancy work relates to Economic Analysis and Sectoral Impact
Studies. She has been appointed on the CII – International Trade Panel,
Western Region.
She has written a book entitled “International Business Management” for
MBA students. Since 2004 she has taught a course on International Trade
Policy at the OaklandUniversity, School of Business Administration,
Michigan, USA to three batches of MBA students.
